Washington, D.C. — Representative Dave Min (CA-47) released the following statement on the third anniversary of the Dobbs decision that overturned Roe v. Wade:
“Three years ago, the Supreme Court majority, which included at least two Justices who swore under oath that they would respect Roe v. Wade as settled precedent, eliminated the Constitution’s core protections for privacy and access to reproductive healthcare.
Washington, D.C. — Representative Dave Min (CA-47) released the following statement regarding U.S. strikes on Iran:
“Donald Trump’s unilateral action in launching attacks against Iran, without any consultation with Congress, is the latest example of his thorough contempt for the Constitution and the rule of law. Article I of the Constitution states very clearly that Congress and only Congress has the power to declare war. By attacking Iran—a clear act of war—Trump is violating the Constitution.
Irvine, CA — In his first six months in office, Representative Dave Min (CA-47) returned over $1 million to Orange County families. Through his robust constituent services operation, Rep. Min helped cut through red tape to make federal agencies such as the Social Security Administration, IRS, and Department of Veteran Affairs work better for the people and guarantee Orange County residents were returned the money they were owed.
Washington, D.C. —Today, Representative Dave Min (CA-47) announced his Community Project Funding requests to address the most pressing needs in Orange County. Rep. Min championed funding for 15 projects that would help prevent wildfires, support first responders, and spur innovation, among other needs. These projects include:
“Instead of fulfilling his promises to end the Russia-Ukraine war on day one and “bring peace to the Middle East,” Donald Trump is busy cosplaying as a wartime President by illegally deploying U.S. troops into California neighborhoods and wasting taxpayer dollars to parade them through our nation's capital. Americans deserve a President who puts our national security first. Donald Trump must remove the military troops from our streets and focus on defusing and containing the conflict between Israel and Iran.”
“Our office is closely tracking the reports of ICE today in Orange County, including in Irvine and Costa Mesa. I have personally been in contact with local city officials, police, and other leaders in those cities. At this point, we have been told that ICE raids in Irvine and Costa Mesa are limited to a small number of actions targeted at individuals at their places of residence, and not the types of indiscriminate raids we have seen in Los Angeles and elsewhere.
“The assault on Senator Padilla is unacceptable and the perpetrators must be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law. Senator Padilla is a devoted public servant who was doing his job. Nothing warrants this assault.
We need immediate answers and accountability.”
