Reproductive Rights

As a father and husband who believes 100% that women should be able to choose their own reproductive outcomes, I fully support the federal codification of Roe v. Wade. Women, not politicians, should be responsible for making their own healthcare decisions. I am proud to be a member of the Reproductive Freedom Caucus, and to have been rated 100% throughout my career as an elected official by reproductive rights groups like Planned Parenthood and Reproductive Freedom For All (formerly NARAL). I will continue to stand steadfastly against the Trump administration’s draconian attacks on women’s healthcare and reproductive rights. 

In the California State Senate, I was proud to author the Constitutional amendment codifying abortion rights in the State Constitution and the first legislation in the world recognizing reproductive coercion as a form of domestic violence. I also authored 10 bills protecting survivors of domestic violence, including legislation limiting the ability of domestic violence abusers to access various connected vehicle services, which have increasingly been weaponized as ways to stalk, harass, and intimidate DV survivors.

Washington, D.C. — Representative Dave Min (CA-47) released the following statement on the third anniversary of the Dobbs decision that overturned Roe v. Wade:

“Three years ago, the Supreme Court majority, which included at least two Justices who swore under oath that they would respect Roe v. Wade as settled precedent, eliminated the Constitution’s core protections for privacy and access to reproductive healthcare.
