Epstein Survivors, Members Of Congress Hold Palm Beach Hearing To Highlight DOJ Failures

May 12, 2026

Democrats on the House Oversight Committee held a hearing in West Palm Beach, Fla., to highlight their ongoing investigation into late *** predator Jeffrey Epstein and the Justice Department’s failure to properly investigate him, beginning with former U.S. Attorney Alex Acosta’s sweetheart plea deal with Epstein in 2008.

Of particular interest to committee member Rep. Dave Min (D-Calif.): What happened to all the camera footage from cameras Epstein installed around the estate, including in rooms where abuse took place?

“Even though the lead DOJ attorneys were calling this footage the ‘smoking gun’ in the Epstein case, and even though they knew where it was held, the DOJ has never sought to acquire or produce this evidence to the public,” Min said.

“The cover-up cannot continue. We will be demanding answers from [former attorney general] Pam Bondi next week," he added.

In a media release discussing the hearing, House Democrats recalled Epstein and President Donald Trump’s “many years of friendship,” including reports that employees from Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort, “usually young women,” were sent to Epstein’s house to provide spa services.
