STATEMENT: Rep. Min Will Vote ‘No’ On House Republican Funding Bill

March 11, 2025

Washington, D.C. — Today, Representative Dave Min (CA-47) announced he will vote ‘no’ on the House Republican funding bill. The following statement can be attributed to Rep. Min:

"This partisan funding bill would be a disaster for Orange County. This bill strips nearly $23 billion in veterans’ benefits, while also cutting funding for affordable housing, senior nutrition, and essential health care programs – raising costs on hard-working families across California.

“Moreso, I cannot fathom voting for a funding bill when President Trump and his administration have made it clear that they have no regard for funding appropriated by Congress. As we all know, only Congress has the power of the purse. Yet President Trump and his crony Elon Musk have repeatedly and illegally slashed and spent money on a whim, ignoring the directives of Congress. This is a Constitutional violation, and I will not vote for a funding bill that the president will disregard.”
