STATEMENT: Rep. Min on Co-Sponsoring H.R. 3565, the Block the Bombs Act

April 2, 2026

Washington, D.C. — Representative Dave Min (CA-47) released the following statement on his support for H.R. 3565, the Block the Bombs Act:

“I have and always will stand for the right of Israel to exist and to defend itself, and I strongly supported Israel following the horrific attacks by Hamas on October 7, 2023, which killed over 1,200 people.

Over the past few years, I have had grave concerns over Netanyahu’s actions in Gaza, which have displaced millions of Palestinians and led to more than 70,000 deaths, including an unprecedented number of civilians, doctors, journalists, and foreign aid workers.

These concerns turned into outrage as the US/Israel war against Iran began, as it became apparent that Netanyahu was trying to expand and intensify the war in ways that appear inconsistent with American strategic interests. I cannot in good conscience support U.S. taxpayers continuing to fund offensive weaponry that goes to Israel without oversight from Congress. I will continue to support the provision of defensive weaponry to Israel, including components for the Iron Dome, to ensure that Israel can defend itself, but I will be co-sponsoring the Block the Bombs Act as one way to try to rein in Netanyahu and to support stability and peace in the Middle East.”
