STATEMENT: Rep. Min on the Third Anniversary of Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health

June 24, 2025

Washington, D.C. — Representative Dave Min (CA-47) released the following statement on the third anniversary of the Dobbs decision that overturned Roe v. Wade:

“Three years ago, the Supreme Court majority, which included at least two Justices who swore under oath that they would respect Roe v. Wade as settled precedent, eliminated the Constitution’s core protections for privacy and access to reproductive healthcare.

In the following years, Republicans have launched an all out assault on reproductive freedoms, with the House GOP pushing forward a disastrous bill that would immediately end all funding for reproductive healthcare, including not only abortion but also OB-GYN and contraception-related services provided by Planned Parenthood in California. This bill would deny millions of Californians access to lifesaving treatments, including cancer screenings, prenatal care and maternity care.

In spite of these attacks, I will keep fighting to protect the personal liberties of every American. I am a proud member of the Reproductive Freedom Caucus, and we are committed towards building a future where our Constitutional rights are restored and everyone has the freedom to make their own reproductive health care decisions.”

Rep. Min has a long record of standing up for reproductive freedoms. As a California state senator, Rep. Min authored legislation to enshrine access to abortion and contraception into California’s Constitution. He also passed into law first-in-the-nation legislation that recognizes reproductive coercion as a type of domestic violence. In Congress, he has continued his fight to expand access to reproductive health care.
